Include Me Out is a Hungarian indie rock band based in Budapest.

Four men standing and sitting against a brick wall. The man on the left is in profile, wearing a light denim jacket and jeans. The second man from the left is wearing sunglasses and a checkered shirt with white stripes on the sleeves. The third man, sitting on the ground, is wearing glasses and a fedora hat. The man on the right is wearing a light-colored shirt, dark pants, and a straw hat, with sunglasses hanging from his shirt collar. One of his arms is resting on the brick wall.

The term 'indie rock' doesn't quite capture the kind of music we make, but we'll stick with it for now. At any rate, we prefer the considerably more accurate label

'non-conformist music for introverted omnivores',

even though it's admittedly less catchy and probably an even less useful description...

The band's roots go back to the early 2010s, when our main songwriters, Doki (Doc) and Petó, decided to form a group dedicated exclusively to performing their own songs, mostly written with English lyrics.

"Why English?" one might ask. Well, definitely not because we thought our music might appeal that way to a much larger audience or out of any other commercial considerations. The simple truth is that

these songs wanted to be born in English.

Besides, English, as a second language, serves as a kind of shield, or a buffer zone, between the often much too personal subjects of the songs and us. This may also be why we explore these deeply personal themes through surreal imagery or a tinge of self-deprecating humour. And we do need these ‘protective measures’, because

for us, music is less a safe haven than a battleground — a place where we confront our anxieties, fears, regrets and frustrations. Yet it is also a space where we can find respite after small, everyday victories.

So not everything is all gloomy in our songs; 'some light might reach us through the cracks'.

After a decade of intermittent activity and a series of false starts, we revived the band as a performing group in 2025.

The current lineup:
